FAQ

What is the deposit for Private let?

We would suggest the deposit should be the equivalent of a month and a half’s rent for all properties, but this can be at the Landlords discretion and be no more than 2 months rent, an additional pet deposit may also be requested

What is the deposit for, and who holds it during my let?

Deposits are required to cover any damage, breakages, losses or unpaid rent discovered at the end of the tenancy. Cruz Property Management will logde all deposits with My Deposit Scotland. This is an independent government run body who manages all deposits and consider and decide on any deductions to be made at the end of tenancy.

How do I apply for a Property?

Cruz Property Management require all tenants to complete an application form and provide two written references, normally from a current landlord and employer. Guarantors, usually parental, are sought for student lets and for tenants under the age of 25.

How do I pay my rent?

Our standard tenancy agreement requires tenants to pay their rent by digital transfer or monthly standing order and should be cleared in our account on, or before the due date. CRUZ Property Management reserve the right to request that a tenant who wishes to pay cash attends a bank to deposit the cash into our nominated account.
